ICCE has always prided itself on covering a broad spectrum of research activity relevant to Consumer Electronics and has a stronger reputation as a home for non-traditional consumer electronics. This walk through a smarter world means a call for wearables, smart home, automotive, context awareness, video and audio personalization, entertainment, wellness, connectivity, energy, cloud services, personal privacy, storage, computer vision, or sensors fusion. All CE communities can be fitted under the theme covering from Services in the Internet of Me to Devices in the Internet of Me. As consumer electronic devices and services become more sophisticated and interconnected, new opportunities arise to leverage these platforms to provide integrated services to the end-user under a consumer-centric approach. These developments provide exciting prospects for growth in the personal consumer electronics sector for various stakeholders, both consumers and providers alike. This theme will allow us to experience at ICCE the newest technologies and trends to jump one step beyond today's Consumer Connectivity. ICCE 2016 will start co-located and overlaping with the final day of the 2016 International CES. In this edition ICCE will program high level expertise Tutorials on emerging topics as well as Special Sessions and a set of relevant Keynote Speakers. A new category has been added to all tracks: the ‘Industrial Category’ which is mainly targeted at companies in CE related industries. Papers submitted under this category can be excluded from IEEE Xplore if the authors want to retain their copyrights. Also awards will be given to the best papers presented during the conference.
